Integral or Hatha Yoga is an ancient form of yoga also known as Shivananda Yoga. It is an ageless yoga acceptable for young and old and different body types. This class is designed for multi-level practitioners with special attention for those with physical limitations. Beginners are welcome.

Mindfulness is meditation practice that cultivates positive state of mind like gratitude, kindness and compassion. We will cover techniques for feeling more connected to our bodies and emotional states.  Support will be given for developing a daily sitting practice.  This meditation technique can be quite helpful with reduction of stress.  We will cover the following topics: mindful breathing/body, mindful emotions, development of the heart, interpersonal mindfulness and everyday stress reduction.

Older adults admit that they’re afraid of falling. Studies have shown that the fear adds to the likeness that a fall could happen. This class provides practical ways to lessen the fear. It also gives tips on becoming stronger through more focused exercises and activity. The four things you will learn are 1) how to control your fear; 2) how to select appropriate activities; 3) how to make your home and social environment safe; and what exercises will help both your balance and your strength.
