ClassGraphic

At a time when the split between rural areas and urban areas in the United States threatens to upend our democracy, what can city people learn about country people that might help bridge the gap? What do rural people want? Why are urban people prejudiced against them? How can we learn who country people are and what they want, given the fact that they don't write their own history? Why do country people seem conservative, and city people seem progressive?
