ClassGraphic Join us as we investigate the fascinating world of Japan with a combined historical and geographic lens. Our exploration begins with an examination of Japan’s tectonics and its location on the Ring of Fire. We will then focus on the Ice Age, ancient Japan, and early European encounters. Next, a look at imperial Japan of the 20th century and its post-World War II development. We will round out our discussion with a focus on Japan’s contemporary challenges related to geopolitics, population, natural disasters, and economy.
