ClassGraphic Embroidery is one of the world’s oldest folk art traditions—artful stitching used across generations and cultures as a form of storytelling and expression. From the textiles of Indigenous communities in the Americas to the intricate embroidery of Northern and Eastern Europe, these traditions across the globe reflect deep cultural roots and lived histories. In this creative, hands-on series led by Teaching Artist and Art Coach Jenny Santa Maria, you'll discover how embroidery can be a portable, accessible, and deeply personal medium for self-expression. Each session is open to all skill levels and welcomes beginners. We'll explore foundational techniques like the split stitch, French knot, and satin stitch, and you'll learn how to confidently transfer designs, thread a needle with ease, and stitch like a pro. More than a how-to, this workshop is about reclaiming your creative voice, one stitch at a time.

This time, we'll be working on a cotton tote so we can wear our own creations!
