Music From the Sole Tap Show and Rosen House Tour at Caramoor NEW

Take a trip to visit Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts, located in Katonah–a quiet hamlet outside of Westchester, NY. Arrive in the early afternoon for a docent-led tour of The Rosen House, a historical house built between 1929 and 1939 that is filled with examples of fine and decorative art, and complete 18th-century rooms. After the tour, take some time to explore the grounds, and enjoy a picnic dinner from onsite food vendors (not included in the price of the trip). Finally, sit down to enjoy a performance by Music From The Sole–a tap dance and live music company whose work celebrates tap’s roots in the African diaspora. Watch as they perform “I Didn’t Come to Stay,” which explores themes of immigration and family, and pulses with influences from Afro-Brazilian, jazz, soul, house, rock, and Afro-Cuban music.
