ClassGraphic For avid home bakers and beginners alike, this class will provide you with all the knowledge needed to elevate your home baking and create stunning cakes that will wow family and friends. Participants will learn an overview of proper cake baking as well as decorating and piping techniques.

All materials will be provided and each student will leave class with their very own personally decorated Lambeth style cake.

A few of the many techniques that will be reviewed in this workshop include:
  • Baking cakes, avoiding cracking and doming
  • Leveling and torting cake layers
  • Buttercream types & tempering
  • Overview of cake fillings and proper technique for filling a cake with soft fillings
  • Stacking, crumb coating and final coating a 6” layer cake
  • Achieving smooth sides and sharp corners on your cake
  • Variety of piping techniques to create unique designs
