« back to classes page
ClassGraphic This is the perfect way to celebrate Earth Day! Recently the beloved monarch butterfly was proposed for inclusion on the endangered species list. We can help monarchs and all our pollinators by planting natives in our backyards. Master Gardener Deb Ellis of the Native Plant Society of New Jersey will give you concrete suggestions for creating your own pollinator paradise with wildflowers and bushes, luring butterflies and birds to your yard. She'll explain which plant combinations provide continuous blooms from spring to fall and growing tips for different soil and sun/shade conditions.  A question and answer period will follow. Deb Ellis is generously providing a free milkweed plan to every participant while supplies last.
