Take a bus trip to the Morgan Library, one of Manhattan's hidden gems. Take a guided tour of the exhibition on Belle Da Costa Greene, J. P. Morgan's personal librarian, who hid her Black heritage and became one of the most powerful women in New York City, building up the glorious collection that remains in the building. Have a delicious a la carte lunch (not included) in the sun-drenched modern cafe at the Morgan or the many nice restaurants nearby. Explore the Bodleian Library's papers and illustrations relating to the writer Franz Kafka. This will be a day to remember.
REGISTRATION CLOSES BY FEBRUARY 6. Prep for the trip by reading "The Personal Librarian" by Marie Benedict and discussing it with author Anastasia Rubis in our Adult School class on March 4.
