Join us for our all-new African Dance Workshop, an exciting opportunity to move, connect, and celebrate culture through rhythm and community. Led by Karen Miles of Zawadi African Dance, this energizing class welcomes dancers of all levels.

The workshop begins with a 10-minute guided warm-up to prepare the body with rhythmic movement and grounding techniques. Participants will then learn Dansa, a vibrant traditional dance of the Malinké people from Upper Guinea.

Dansa is traditionally performed as a joyful celebration during community gatherings, often encouraging collective labor while strengthening unity and fostering a powerful spirit of togetherness. Experience the rich cultural traditions, dynamic rhythms, and uplifting communal energy that make West African dance so inspiring.
