The scholars of the Abbasid Golden Age, from the 900s to the 1500s and beyond, had access to texts from Greek, Persian, and Indian sources, and over centuries developed and spread this knowledge across large swaths of central Asia, the middle east, north Africa, Spain (al-Andalus during this time), and beyond.
