CourseGraphic Learn the processes and techniques of watercolor and develop skills through demonstration and individual instruction within a structured and focused environment. Explore composition, form, tone, and color relationships as you discover your personal style. Subject matter will be derived from still life, floral arrangement, photographs and plein air (weather permitting).

Please read:  The fee for first time watercolorists will cost approximately $90. ART SUPPLIES Painting from Photographs & Introduction to Watercolor Painting Aquarelle Arches watercolor paper block 10 X 14 140lb. cold press 100% cotton (3) Pencils Kneaded Eraser Creative Plastic Palette (with lid) 12 x 16 watercolor palette Basic palette knife (for removing paper from block) Plastic container for water (can be an old pickle, mayonnaise, jar—the larger the better). Paper towels. Bring at least 3 torn-off sheets to every class. (Bounty is best). Watercolor Brushes- Simply Simmons Synthetic Mix watercolor brushes or Robert Simmons Sapphire Watercolor brushes. ROUND: #6, #8, #10 FLAT: 1 inch. Watercolor Tube Paints- All pigments must be placed on your palette before the first class in order for them to dry out. Consult the palette setup handout for instructions. Grumbacher Academy .25 oz tubes Cadmium Yellow Pale Gamboges Hue (yellow) Cadmium Red Light Alizarin Crimson Cobalt Blue Hue Thalo Blue Sap Green Burnt Umber
