Older adults admit that they’re afraid of falling. Studies have shown that the fear adds to the likeness that a fall could happen. This class provides practical ways to lessen the fear. It also gives tips on becoming stronger through more focused exercises and activity. The four things you will learn are 1) how to control your fear; 2) how to select appropriate activities; 3) how to make your home and social environment safe; and what exercises will help both your balance and your strength. Participants should wear comfortable clothes and supportive shoes like sneakers.
