We will visit a different site each week to witness the southbound migration of birds from as far away as Alaska and the Russian Far East. Vireos, warblers, and tanagers are among the songbirds likely to be seen in August and September, along with a good range of wading birds. Our destinations will be set shortly before each excursion, the choice determined by recent reports of concentrations of migrants.
No materials required, but binoculars, a field guide, and a notebook and pencil are encouraged (please consult with the instructor for recommendations)
